La Oliva: Gluten-Free Kitchen is the culmination of a lifelong dream for Edmonton’s Alisha Duret. She learned to bake from her mother at a young age and followed a passion for cooking through a career in the food industry. An avid traveller, Alisha has gained inspiration, knowledge and recipes through her various trips. She has travelled to Asia, Western Europe and Latin America. Her favourite cuisine is Spanish.

In 2012, Alisha was diagnosed with celiac disease, after years of confusing symptoms. Rather than a setback, her diagnosis was the push she needed to create La Oliva, a gluten-free catering and cooking class company.

Her food is adventurous, unique and uses high-quality, seasonal products to bring the best flavours to the table. Alisha loves to entertain and create memorable experiences by sharing her joy for food and cooking with others.
